Bazaleti Lake
Bazaleti Lake lies near Dusheti at about 880 metres above sea level. The lake covers roughly 1.2 square kilometres and is fed mainly by groundwater.
The lake holds a special place in Georgian folklore and is famous through Ilia Chavchavadze's well-known poem "Bazaleti Lake". Today its shores form a green recreation area with hotels and picnic spots — a popular day-trip destination from Tbilisi.
