Tsinandali Estate near Telavi was the residence of the 19th-century Georgian poet and public figure Alexander Chavchavadze. The complex includes a house museum, a decorative garden and a historic wine cellar.
It was here that Georgian wine was first bottled using European methods — the famous white wine "Tsinandali" still carries the estate's name. The museum preserves furniture and documents from the Chavchavadze era and a collection of vintage wines.
